NOTWITHSTANDING the global economic slump and the bad effect to the tourism business of the unstable political situation in the country, PB Air, a Bangkok-based boutique airline, plans to open a new Bangkok – Chumpon route to link sea destinations in the Gulf of Thailand including Koh Samui, Koh Phangan and most popular destination for diving and snorkeling, Koh Tao and Koh Nang Yaun.

What? Chumporn airport has been closed for years due to a lack of interest. Kho Tao is closer to Chupaville the others are closer to Surat. Makes no sense to me.

Does anyone know when next early next year, they are supposed to be opening this route up? Any speculation about it when? It would be nice if it was in January.
