Calling all extroverts with a sense of humour in Hua Hin

HeadRock Dogs will be holding their 'Womanless Beauty Pageant and Blind Auction' at Ye Olde Buffalo Tavern, Naresdamri Rd, Hua Hin on Saturday 6th December. It will start at 7:30pm, with the beauty pageant starting at about 8:15pm.

We are still seeking contestants for the only beauty pageant in the area where hairy legs, stubbly chin, dreadful make-up & one false boob bigger than the other might actually help you win! Entrance fee is 500bt with the winner taking 50% of the pot - so the more entrants, the bigger the prize!

Entrance for non-contestants is 100bt per person. Also, each guest must bring a gift-wrapped prize for the blind auction to be held later in the night.

The star prize in the blind auction will be a beautiful king-size teak four poster bed, donated by Siam Old Teak. It is worth 68,000bt, so it's well worth bidding on some items, just in case the bed voucher is in your chosen parcel!

More details here : Head Rock Dogs

If anyone's in the area, we'd love to see you, either as a contestant or guest.

Real fcuking sensible to be running around dressed in RED at this time. Hope you'll be wearing bulletproof underwear.

Aaah, it is you. I wondered whether the overbearing, patronising, unfriendly attitude meant it was you or that everyone involved in your charity is like that.

OK, it was just a coincidence. I knew nothing about your red dress run. This was an idea that came from a fundraising idea website (as did the blind auction). I only found out about yours once we'd started to publicise. I didn't see any reason to stop for several reasons:
    1. Yours involves the Hash House Harriers, who are already an organised club
    2. We are doing this a month & a half before yours
    3. It is not the same. This is a beauty pageant with a twist - yours is a Hash run with a twist
    4. We are not asking people to wear red (you really might want to rethink that, given the current political climate. I know you were also advised that on the other board - it might be worth taking some of these suggestions to heart. How about blue or a LBD -little-black dress- run?)
Nobody is confused. The only negativity you got on the other board was from being so rude & arrogant as to crash our thread to fully publicise your event - TWICE! - and from your ill-advised decision to wear red at this sensitive time (yes, I know it's a Hash tradition, but try explaining that to hostile Thais as you run through the town.)

Now, all that said, I hope you have a great & successful day & raise loads for your chosen charity. I know at least one member from here that will be joining you with his wife.

This thread is about HRD's event. I'd appreciate you not crashing it again, as you have elsewhere. Thank you.

    NR's in Thailand, not Africa.

Oh, and best of luck with the event. If it was in January I might've been able to make it (dressed like a bloke though).

using that arguement, you'd better stop playing golf in a country where there are starving people, oh starving children also...

Yep I was thinking exactly the same Jizzy!

No I believe he will be just fine with it! Anyway his arms are twice the size.

Sorry I can't make the big day NR as I will be in OZ for my daughters wedding, that's if I can get on a plane!

Hope the day goes well for all the people who will benefit and because of your and other's kind efforts.
