    Hotel recommendations Chaweng (north)?

I'm flying down to spend a few days on the island to visit my daughter & hubby..... they're staying at quite a pricy gaff (Anantara Lawana) so I'm looking for somewhere in the vicinity for around 1000 baht/night..... big hotel, small hotel, family style guest house..... arai g'dai, just want somewhere clean and fairly quiet but in the area of the Anantara.
    Anyone any recommendations?
    Many thanks.

I stayed at Chaweng Gardens Resort the times i was there. At the time it was cheap, but i have been told they have refurbished and the prices have gone up.

It was right on the beach, quiet and only a few minutes walk from the main strip, in front of Burger King.

I was there in 1982 & 1984- how could I possibly go back? That would be a mistake.
