    RIP Peter White

Some of the older hands may remember Pete from the Bilibong surf and sports bar in Bophut, a real character.
Passed a few nights ago in Sydney, his wish is for his ashes to rest in a Wat in Thailand. Dang, his wife is trying to arrange that.

    RIP Pete. Jim

No he wasn't a footballer, ex cop from Victoria, He and some others opened the Bilabong surf and sports bar in Bophut years ago and had some connection to the Cocco blues bar in Chewang.

He was fairly well known on the island for many years. Jim

Didn't his wife get trapped under a trapped car and get badly burnt a few years back ? I remember an appeal going out for someone of the same name. Can't say I knew the guy as I don't really do themed bars at all.

I can't recall the chap but I did frequent the Billabong in Bophut from time to time. He had some septic acting as one of those so-called managers who float about seemingly doing nothing very much.

It wasn't a themed bar as such, just a decent bar by the sea attracting a good mix of folk. Got terribly pissed there one night drinking flaming B52s and ended up back in the Lodge hotel in some disarray, nursing a huge hangover and a rather pleasant whoopsie whose presence at the time was somewhat a surprise.

Happy days. Was he one of the CoCo partners who ended up fleeing creditors.

The yank would have been Kurt, who in fact was born in the UK, the B52s would have been started by bananna Pete or spiky Pete as he was know.
Peter White was probably on of the creditors and I may have been in the bar and have met you, but would have been too drunk to remember. Jim
