For me there is no doubt, it's all a scam to unite people at that time, sort of a union but they just coulden't get along, therefor is the result the many religions that exist today, and they still cant get along....

Catholics have had this going on on a larger scale that most others, keep em Ignorant, keep em knocked up and they will keep pouring all their money into your coffers.

That ropey old story-book they pass off as the 'word of God' is the biggest crock of shit I have ever read.

When Jesus was - supposedly - around, superstitious mumbo-jumbo was the order of the day & this scientific ignorace led to all sorts of fairly-tales being touted as facts & actual events, rather than the rambliings of a man - Paul - who admittedly, never even met Jesus.

There is no evidence anywhere in the world, other than this Paul's say-so, that any of this Jesus cobblers ever happened.

The answer to the question 'does God exist' - is no.

If the Romans had witnessed any of the stuff they go on about, they would have it documented elsewhere.

They are kind to me. They offer hope when all seems hopeless. They relax and soothe me in times of distress. They've provided safe harbor and strong shelter throughout my life.

Dunno about God, but religion has its uses. However, it should not be thought to the young, the gullible or people unable to think critically - in other words, the very individuals most likely to believe in the supernatural.
