Dunno, scuba diving doesn't seem so good in Phuket, especially with all the news of coral bleaching etc.

90 percent destroyed coral reef (Phuket’s 'Coral Reef Squadron' 90% destroyed: TDA)

Sea debris killing marine life in Phuket (Sea debris killing Phuket sea life: marine expert)

Coral deaths worst since 1998 (Southeast Asia coral deaths 'the worst since 1998')

Diver dragged along by speedboat (Phuket Dive Tourist 'Dragged Along by Speedboat')

Now I will have to return to visit Thromtep Cape!....loks really nice!........ There are some seriously nice Golf Courses and Marina's on the NE coast of Phuket Island, and a very nice National Park, with waterfalls.
In my opinion It's worth going to Phuket just to attend the spectacular night stage show at Phuket Fantasea....... I went there first about 10 years ago, when they had over 40 elephants on stage, along with a huge cast and it was the most spectacular stage show I have ever seen. To have so many Elephants performing on this huge purpose built stage inside a castle like structure, plus magnificent costuming, and special effects........rivals any live show in the world.
I must admit that last time I went about three years ago there were less elephants in the show, but it was still a great live show, with very well organised infrastructure, and a Disneyland type environment with restaurants and elephant rides surrounding the very family friendly venue.

or there is this superb thread !!

Phuket -pics of touristy things in the daytime

apart from the last three on the OP list - and maybe Wat Chalong but there is no shortage of temples - I wouldn't bother with the rest

Muay Thai on the island is as big a scam as the jetskis or WWF wrestling on tv.

Best Beaches are north of Kamala. Laen singh avoid Bang Tao in low season Mai ton Mai cow, Mai oh mai is also a fair beach. Best bar is the one that the bell has just been rung at preferably there is a birthday going on there with a bbq.

in all my years in phuket and the past 12 living up the street from Fantsea have yet to go there.

Best thing to do is rent a bike and do a tour around the island, Heading along the coast South to Nai Harn and the Yacht club and then head north back up thru Phuket town and up the Heroines monument . Hang a right and head out to the waterfall/gibbon center and return to the coast via Thalang/Bang Tao before heading south again to where ever u started. Plenty of places to stop for the views. elephant rides/tours/eating etc etc.
