On the beach dining in Phuket

    Dear All,

We are visiting Phuket in March 2015.

We visit Phuket every year and do like eating at the Lotus and Tom Yang Goong both of which have been demolished.

I would appreciate any recommendations on 'as close as possible to the beach' dining options on the West side of Phuket and if possible Bang Tao Beach.

We have eaten at Trisara which is at the North End of Bang Tao beach but it is certainly very expensive.

    Cheers

    Naughty

Don't think there's much on that stretch any more. You have the decent but expensive beach clubs, Nikki to the north (Layan) and Bliss to the south. Then there's a couple further south still by the Best Western hotel.

I appreciate you are a creature of habit and enjoyed using those two restaurants year after year, but it's time for you to get out there, explore, and find your new favourite restaurants to keep coming back to.

The looking, trying and discovering should all be part of the fun of a holiday IMO.

    Dear Fozzy,

Thanks for your response, I am certainly up for exploring and would welcome any suggestions you have.

I have had a look at Bliss Beach Club which looks like the sort of thing we like and would very greatly appreciate any more suggestions you may have

Travel an hour north to Bang Niang. Plenty of on beach dining up that way.

Tri Trang beach the food is OK. Nice setting, easy to get to from Patong.
For really good food on the beach the best is in Chalong. I forget the name now but follow the road to the zoo and when you get to the water there yards be.

You could just grab a few burgers and a sixpack and go sit on the seawall....
