    I need Curtains making

Can anybody recommend a company that can do good quality curtains for a full house, would be better if they are based somewhere around the south of the island.

The last one I used about 10 years ago on another house I remember her name was Orawan but her shop is not where it used to be in Chalong

    Thanks FR,

That was my intention, but my options are open, I know where that place is so I'll drive down there later and have a look around.

I will be able to tell looking in the workshop if they can produce the quality I want,

If they have done any 5 star hotels

    Cheers anyway

You seem to know what you're doing, My friend rented a big Condo in Bangkok, quality curtains but they were cream coloured and let all the light in

The going rate seems to be around 220 b a metre for track plus the yardage price of the fabric to include all making and fitting. There's often 10-15% to be had off the fabric prices quoted.

Most of the shops have reasonable choices of black out fabric, you have more choice if you buy a separate blackout liner.

Be interested to hear how you get on and if the prices I've seen are about right or not.

Thing to do there is you put the lining which also stops the sun

Obviously depends on the quality of fabric as to the price

    Thanks FR,
Brian Stocks Nakhon Sawan. Don't know if it of any use to you but the is an excellent curtain shop with reasonable prices (including fitting & hanging) in the main street of Nakhon Sawan (about 150 metre from Tesco/Fairy Land) sorry cant remember its name but they did a perfect job for me and the price finished up as quoted. They also have a large range of materials and designs from which you can choose to be made up to your individual tastes.

By strange coincidence, offering proof of the interconnectedness of td to all things in l and f s thai universe, I had some curtains delivered today.

340 b a metre for blackout curtains in light grey with a sort of faint stripe.

Obviously soliciting interior design advice on this forum is just pissing into the wind, but if any readers' wives have any idea what colour sofa and side table I should but in a room with black tiles, white walls and light grey curtains I'd love to hear.

    I haven't a clue.

Back to curtains they've done a great job. The very helpful chap has adjusted all the tracks and has taken them back to the shop to lop 3mm off the bottoms. All without asking. Quite a find, sadly for the op he's in pattaya on Soi kao noi

Looks like the pink goes well (the stool), but probably better in a material other than plastic.
