So they bought a couple of replica Lamborghini kit cars and assembled them in some back alley garage.
bit of a stretch calling them super cars. From what I can understand, its a bit of carbon fibre stuck on an old mitsubishi.
They sell for $23k usd.
The guys who stuck the Ferrari 355 kit onto their MR2 would like them.
To be fair, they do look pretty bladdy good.
Never seen one, or heard of one; must run with the wrong crowd.
I always assumed you were a man of taste and refinement. Seems I was right.Originally Posted by Davis Knowlton

^From the Philippines?
On paper bang for buck these are a decent thing. Not sure on the engine choices though, I would have put in an LS7 with a couple of turbo's.
Having lived here for almost two decades, I still can't understand why anyone would want to get into this traffic driving something slightly higher than a skateboard. In an SUV, even a small one like my Honda CRV, you are at least high enough to see what's going on. Not to mention potholes, generally shitty roads, etc. I guess "cool" wins out over common sense, which is the norm here.
Would be nice of the locals could have decent jobs at home- instead of being the worlds largest source of labor.
But I think the current set up is just the way the elites want it...

^A good friend just returned from Oman on a one month vacation. He was a head nurse in one of Manila's best hospitals, as well as a university nursing instructor.
In 8 months in Oman, he made the equivalent of six years salary here. He says living is great, all good except that the students are dumber than a box of rocks, filthy rich, spoiled and lazy.
The brain drain is simply a fact of life here - as soon as I find a good doctor, teacher, computer guy......they're gone.
^ Good on your buddy, gotta make the bucks when/while you can
+1 On the student comment. I'm surprised that the students even bother to show up for class, maybe they do it because they are bored...
^He said his worst Filipina student would be an A+ student in his class there. Poverty is a great motivator.
Ain't that the truth!Poverty is a great motivator.
In the colleges they get paid to attend (the students, that is...).Originally Posted by Lancelot
