Looking For A Fight In Walking Street

My ex pat mate was telling me there was a huge brawl outside Insomnia involving Farangs,Thai and Arabs on Xmas eve and that got me thinking.
Is there any street in the world where so much testosterone flies about as Walking St ?
We have all seen the big steroid body builders fresh out of Tony's Gym, the English football hooligans with there Burberry caps and beer bellies, the guys who have spent a week learning Muay Thai and have the t shirt to prove it, the drunken idiots who think 10 bottles of Chang turns them into Mike Tyson, the Large Russians who think walking through you instead of around you is perfectly acceptable, the mad Arabs driven insane by lust and hatred at the same time. Then we also have most of the worlds special forces living in Pattaya as well as top london gangsters.

Yep its all there in Fun City.

What i find funny and puzzling is the need to swagger up and down sticking your chest out in a tight t shirt or none at all carrying a couple of imaginary carpets under your arms and barging into people. Who are they trying to impress ? Either themselves , other men or Thai females. Either way its a sad way to spend your holiday.

I can honestly say that during my 20 odd years of visiting Walking Street I have never seen a fight let alone an all in brawl.

Then again I hardly venture down that neck of the woods these days and I have heard it is getting quite dangerous if you venture into the wrong areas.

When i go to Patts i like to dress up as Benny from Abba so i wear a white jump suit and a blond wig. Non threatening unless your a Dane or a lover of good music.

I must admit i go less and less but its definitely a more threatening environment now than it was 10 years ago. Before everyone was out for the same thing. Now there seems to be guys there who are looking for trouble as opposed to a cold bottle of Singha and a bird. Maybe the bar prices are putting folk of from entering so they are spending more time swaggering up and down.

Your right Sean Connery is a tosser. He is an arrogant bastard who tells us from his Bahamas mansion to vote for independence. He is not popular in Scotland.

However he is probably the worlds most recognised Jock and with posters on here from all over i wanted someone they would know as Scottish.

You're a Jock, not like you've never seen that before.. sounds like a typical sweaty first time south of the border.

I'd be more worried about the testosterone that flys round the streets of England. Especially Northampton which is the last place I lived before here. I wouldn't dare go down the main street there at closing time on a Friday night but I'd walk down Walking Street.

Drunken idiots are much more dangerous when there's not much chance that they're gonna get laid.

10 years ago Walking Street was a lot of fun, now the fun is harder to find there.

The usual, beat the living shite out of each other with beer bottles then off for a deep fried mars bar and a little kiss to make up.

agree here, it's quite scary going there. It used to be a good place, good attitude from everyone, occasional scandals from the local yaba whores but that was it.

Now it's full of chavs, Farangs mafia, Arab scums who think they are bigger than the world and wants to prove it. It's like they just discovered the fucking ShangriLa and wants to be part of it at any cost.

    fucking sad, but again predictable

it's like everything, too much money and mafia involved, the stakes are high

the number of expensive bars that have been built to launder money,

then you have Tonys and his clique, it's like Al Capone in Chicago
