| I have heard from a couple of people on holiday there this week. They 'claim' it is busy ? Their hotel is full and Walking Street is busy, but is it busy with Chinese, Koreans and Indians just doing 'looky-looky' with a coke bought from 7-11 ? |

| I think it can be a fun place with really good places to eat, but last time I saw a couple of incidents where drunk ( sadly brits ) were really asking to be attacked by Thais after throwing stuff around one of the street bars. |

I suspect they shutdown a few floors to reduce their supply of rooms, so it might be true. | |

| On a walkabout | I live here and could not advise whether the place is busy or not as I rarely venture over to the Western side of Sukhumvit Road. It never changes in East Pattaya and with regard to the numbers of tourists as thankfully not too many tourists know about the Darkside and I hope it remains that way. |
