The Hopf Brew House Pictorial And Review

Had a chance to eat at the Hopf Brew House at 219 Beach Road South Pattaya Pattaya City
on Sunday. I have past by the place many times and always thought it was a small restaurant. I was surprised when I went in and found that the place is HUGE.

We were enroute to a Thai restaurant, but my buddy decided it was too hot to walk any farther.....plus this sign made his mouth water.

As I said, I always thought the place was small, but as you can see by this photo, I was wrong.

I would rate the service at 5 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I would rate the pizza at 6 on a scale of 1 to 10.

I am pretty sure they lie about brewing their own beer, they told me also, but i think you would smell it all over beach road if they did.

    Great pictures by the way

For those of you that might be confused on the location given, they are located at Soi 13/1 Beach road.

Used to be regular at this place when I resided in Pattaya in 2004, nice jazz band and I liked it because you couldn't smoke in there and the Mr. Bean showing on the TV screens kept most female company I had occupied.

I think it was the owner who would sometimes get onstage and sing as well.

Not too big of a fan of their pizza. There's an "Italian" restaurant just before walking street by baywalk residence that has some decent pizza although the last few times I was there it was overran by russkies.

I go there regular, to see Enzo, he is a truly astounding singer, musician, genius. U can google him, he is a legend, but he only pops on the stage for ten minutes, gets everyone going, then he fucks off................. so everyone is hanging round for hours waiting for him to return, and he doesn't. The band would have you believe he will return, but not aften.
The clientel, well it's 90 % off the bus for the night tourists from Bkk, and they use all the tables, for the food, not sure if the food is included with the tour, but everyone eating ! I agree with the earlier post, 6/10 for the pizza in fact I give it a generous 5.

The "home brew" i do believe is brewed on the premises, a;lthough you never smell the process, but I had a beer with the brewmaster one night, and found him to be a lightweight, couldn't handle the beer, unusual u are thinking,so was I, so he could have been just anyc*nt.He gave me his business card,as if it was evidence, but his opinions, and my knowledge differred somewhat, so the jury is still out on that as well. The "homebrew" is cloudy wheatbeer, popular with blind people, and alcohlic monks, and non the wiser Korean tourists it seems lol, ( hope them there coaches have toilets on board) .
I may get flamed for my opinion on cloudy wheatbeer, but in my 30 years experience behind bars..... I have strived to produce the brightest cleanest clearest beer money can buy.and don't like the price fixing in the Hopf bar, if you want alternative, it is Heineken at 125 plus plus, for a small bottle, but thats what I like, and I pay it, you couildn't pay me to drink cloudy wheatpiss.
I am a regular at the Hopf as I said earlier, but I think in general, it is not attractive to locals, it is very much a tourist destination.
