    Pattaya-Hua Hin Ferry?

Thinking of taking the family and my old folks to Hua Hin a bit later this year.

Not seen much info about the new(ish) Ferry between Pattaya and Hua Hin. Is it worth bothering with? If anyone has any recent experience they can pass on, please give a heads-up.? Cheers.

Could be a bumpy old trip.

I used the ferry a couple of weeks ago for a 3 day trip to Hua Hin...After Hua Hin i had to go to Bangkok so i only sailed the one way but it was a hassle free experience. In fact i was surprised how organised everything was. The ferry company has offices on Bali Hai pier and that is where you buy your ticket. I traveled second class for 1250 one way. There was only a handful of other passengers sailing so there was plenty space to stretch out. The ferry is big anyway and modern looking. At Hua Hin the pier is pretty far away from the night market area and all the taxis which await your arrival seem to charge a flat fare of 200 baht regardless of where your hotel is. On the whole is was a hassle free efficient experience and i would definitely do it again. It took about 2 hours.

^ it would take you about 4 and a half hours by taxi. Does your 2000 baht
ride have a donkey pulling it?

Nope, its from a taxi company and it takes approx 4 hrs and 6 mins.

not sure of children's prices but the ferry must be around 4000 baht one way for the family of four.
