Soi 6 Mafia The Nightwish Group

I didn't realise that a large swathe of bars on Soi 6 are owned by the same group of farang investors. The Nightwish Group is led by an English guy called Bryan Flowers who is interviewed on this weeks Stickman site. They have bought up 16 bars in Sin City's most sinful street and are looking for more.
While the cops are cracking down on the trade and short time rooms in particular im not sure if this is a business model i would want to invest in even if it does sound an interesting opportunity for those who have always fancied being a pimp

They're a bit like those expat Surin builders, they become foreman and get Thais to do the work.

May be the 'Group' are in the know and are buying up with the possibility of making a killing from what will replace the bars?

Buy when others sell and sell when others buy...

    Interesting to see what happens...

Thais will "have it," either way...

I could be wrong, but I doubt they actually own them.

More likely have long term leases on the buildings and licenses to operate as entertainment venues.

Not much different than say Nana Plaza? It is probably less about the actual business than the volume of cash. Could just as easily be LPG stations or..any business with no electronic registers?

Then there was the guy "invested in" that Soi Cowboy bar...What was the name?...Things were going downhill and he fell a long way to his death "trying to get into" his condo via a neighbour's balcony...

Not Pattaya...But then Nana was mentioned...

The Eclipse Group which owns the majority of Nana bars is rumoured to be funded with boiler room cash. They have huge financial resources so i can imagine with them its more about owning the land and property as opposed to making a profit over the bar.. They bought the land of the Nana family who were old money Thai. Seven sisters inherited Nana but didnt want anything to do with a red light area so they sold it lock stock and barrel for millions.

Once the money runs out, they will be kicked to the curb like all other foreigners.

Then he obviously is taking a cut of the other investors money. This is a story that repeats itself many times in Thailand and the ending always seems to be the same. Just don't be one of the investors.

Facts were that he owned the Dollhouse and had done for several years.
    Not really an investor.
    A tragic accident.

He was certainly larger than life but apparently he also had a bit of a drug problem.
