    James from Route CC

Not sure if you guys now, but James passed away last week. I always found him to be a true gent and a pleasure to chat to.

Feb 3rd at the Khao Noi pattaya temple for the funeral ceremony.

Ahhh shit. What happened do you know?. I didn't know James well, but he'd always made a point of coming over for some idle chit chat when we would be in Route CC having a post-golf drink and burger. And what a great burger they are too!. He was a really friendly guy, and would always thank us for dropping by for a feed and a few beers which is something a lot of Pattaya small businesses could learn something from. RIP mate.

Had a fairly lengthy battle is Cancer. This was posted by him on his FB the day he passed. Really nice final farewell I though.

Hi, too all my loved ones, friends , family , brothers, here & all over the world , apparently I am needed elsewhere now , it must be very important that I have to leave all you lovely people behind, And as I consider I must be very lucky & fortunate to be mates with all of you, I have had a very different type of life to what people consider normal and I wouldn't change anything about the times we spent together, I have some great memories of everyone, Kung Lewis or Les will let anyone know my service / cremation time and date, also where, the moment they know themselves, plus we will have a huge buffet and drink ect afterwards at route C.C. soi siam country club,
Food at CC still very good and I would put their Sunday Roast as the best on the Darkside.... still.

Just a quick update to this which some might find interesting (if they do not already know). Jim and missus had sold CC just before he passed, and his wife has now opened up a new place. Its a little off the beaten track, but there is a clear sign for Pinky's. Heading from the lake, you go past CC and GB bar, and keep heading towards chicken crossroads. Before you get that dar, on the lest is a second hand junk shop which used to be Girly bar The Black Pearl. Immediately after that you turn left, and follow the signs for a couple hundred meters. It is more of less the same menu as the old CC used to have with brilliant quality. Also, the chips are now hand cut and are awesome.

Good luck to her, and support her if you are near. Sunday Roasts still the best in the area and you need to book it now as they are getting busy.

Must check out Pinky's. I only ate in CC one time, for lunch. My wife did not like the smell of smoke from likely the night before. She is very sensitive to smoke and stuffs up her sinuses very fast, so never went back.

Pinkys is non smoking inside - she will love it.

A basic map to get there. If you know where planet football is on SSC, you can find it easily. Follow the signs.

I knew James well and he was always a gentleman.

The last conversation he had with me, and when he was in remission from colon cancer was to never use a bum gun and always check the colour of your stool with toilet paper.

His feces was apparently black for a long time and he never noticed it. Too late to treat it but he gave it his best shot.

    Miss you James.

What was the reason for not using a bum gun? As for checking just glance down before you flush.

nothing left on the paper to see?

^ German toilets have a higher water level in them, flush forwards, and a bigger bowl expressly so that you can have a look at your dump prior to flushing it away.

edit - you beat me to it. lol
