Thumbs up Who needs a lovely puppy then?

The pack of soi dogs me and the missus look after recently got significantly larger when 5 puppies were dumped in the pack - mother hit by a car, swiftly followed by another 2 the next day from sources unknown!

Next day, the 2 newer puppies vanished again though. Change of heart by the feckless callous waster who dumped them I thought? No. One return. Fractured pelvis from the car that hit her, and killed her brother. We only administer basic aid to these dogs because literally we could be in the vets every day with the bills clocking up like a gas pump. Seeing that her pee and poop was clear of blood, and knowing that the bone would fix quickly if slight wonky, due to her being a puppy still growing rapidly, we gave her a special diet with some pain relief and now, 3 weeks later she is as cute as a button with a lovely temperament. Hobbles a bit though.

Then disaster strikes again. Saturday I notice the 5 puppies are off their food a little. Sunday, they seem very disinterested in everything when usually they charge for the food like a load of locals being told a shop has the iphone in it. Monday, 4 down still, 1, up and normal. This morning - the fires are burning. 2 dead in the night, 1 fine, 1 recovering and the last at deaths door. Breaking my cardinal rule, I take this one to the vet where he is now, just to find out what is killing them all, so to prepare the missus that in reality they all might die soon.

    Parvo.

So anyway, 2 fine puppies, a further one in the vets fighting for its life, and one who has been christened Tiny Tim after the Christmas Carol character.

    Who wants a puppy?

    Tiny Tim

Johnno - tough little bastard fighting off parvo by himself!

    RIP - handsome lad.

Black dude biting the leg - Got better by himself! Call him Tyson.

Some lovely puppies. If you know of anyone thinking of "buying" a dog in the near future, earn yourself some positive karma, slap that stupid idea out of their dim skulls and tell them to get in touch and give one of these lovable rogues a chance.

Well little Johnno is still fighting. Was on the ropes in the night a bit, and still reliant on his drip fro water and food. But, its called the 7 days disease; if they're not dead in 7 days, they will survive, so day 5.... hope but a small hope.

Apart from that, the others are fighting fit and ready to turn your concrete house into a home!

Our pooch was rescued off a soi when she was a couple weeks old-

She was an adorable puppy and has grown into an awesome dog!

Best thing you can do for those soi dogs Gilbert is to quit feeding them and get them sterilized instead.

Not sure of the breed. I think they have some sort of bull terrier in them based upon their feet. There is 2 girls - the one with a gammy leg and another one - the dark coloured number biting the leg of the big dog.

Parvo is a nasty virus that basically kills dogs unless they are vaccinated against it. Once a dog has had it though, assuming they survive, they are safe from it.

There is another female dog up there who is brilliant - we have her neutered a while ago, about 2-3 years old I reckon. A playful mutt and incredibly nice, and fast as a whippet! She would benefit from a good home as well.

This is her after we battled fighting a head infection!

There are another two girls as well, still in their puppyness, about 4 months old I reckon. One is completely blonde, and the other is black. I think they have a large amount of Retriever in their blood in that they both have long very smooth hair (well, smooth sometimes). The smaller of the two (black one) took quite a bit of saving by us as she is the runt, but has come into her self recently - barks at strangers a bit, where as her blonde sister is now becoming shy and retiring a little.

PM me if you want to go and have a look - Adopting is always better than shopping.

Tony - yep - they all get neutered when they are old enough and we have time. However, I feed as well.
