    BB Guns

    My continuing War On Soi Dogs needs a bit of an armaments boost so I am thinking of a bb gun.

    Can you get a repeater bb gun, one that can shoot several shots one after the other without re-loading?

    If so, where and how much?

    I got one of those sonic dog deterrents but it only seems to work on about 50% of the mutts.
    I would post pictures but life's too short.

    Yes, gas powered semi auto Airfsoft guns and revolvers are available.
    Don't know where in Patts but all the Bkk markets have a few shops.

    2 sorts, some run on co2 cartridges and are the more powerful, the other have a an internal tank you recharge from a can.

    Semiautos have a 30 odd capacity mag. Cost varies, but a good one is about 4-5k baht.

    Try here.

    Yes, those C02 cartridge loaders, come as pistols too.

    Might be better to get a pellet rifle. If you get the pump variety you can manage the velocity (damage) by the number of pumps. A pellet rifle can easily kill a dog. They're also a lot more accurate cause the pellet flies out rotating, rotation give the projectile stability. BBs are all over the place like throwing a pebble in the wind.

    I got a CO2 powered bb pistol for my 12th birthday. Would shoot right through a tin can and come out the other side.

    Uses a sling shot & 9mm steel ball bearing.
    A dog at my factory was on heat & 10 male dogs hanging around the first 2 days.
    Then the third day there was no male dog around at all very strange.
    That day I found out the Yarm took to the male dogs with ta sling shot & 9mm steel ball bearings.
    No soi dog comes near the factory.

    PS if you do go this way with the Sling shot make sure you hit the target, as those steel ball do a lot of damage OK.

    It's hard to fire a catapult whilst peddling a mountain bike.

    The semi autos generally use plastic ammo and will sting a dog, but not really hurt it.
    The pistols use steel pellet that will penetrate at close range.

    But be aware, the status of Airsoft in Thailand is "grey".
    Use in public could get you in trouble.

    Maybe a better option if people are around is a pressurized squirt gun loaded with vinegar or a water/bleach solution.

    I just checked that pistol web site. I think they look a little bit too much like the real thing to be carrying about in public.

    Ideas?

    Is there a sniper style option?

    Is it semi-automatic or single swing only?

    I have a couple of BB Guns I brought over years ago. Use them to drop the pigeons around the house. Wouldn't use them on the soi dogs as they are sorry enough as they are - poor things.

    No, to fancy? How about this;

    But really, when dealing with vermin nothing says "transmute into a puff of damp red mist" like;

    I've tried that. Not really that effective whilst pedaling but by fukk you realise how much you get on your hands when you go to wipe the sweat out of your eyes.
