Vegetarian restaurant on Soi Siam Country Club

I noticed this place a couple of days ago, down near the post office on SSCC, on the opposite side of the road. Has anyone tried it yet?

Obviously as a tree hugging veggie I'm quite interested.

I took the family there not knowing it was a tree huggers restaurant and when I ordered a beer they told me they didn't serve alcohol.

So I went to 7Eleven next door and got 2 large bottles and then the food arrived.

    It ain't real food...................never again.

My missus then drove to the Route 66 bar and got me 2 big greasy burgers whilst I finished my beers.

Not to derail your thread Kurgen, but since burgers came up I have to ask Loy Toy or any other Darksiders if they've tried this new (to me) Mr Burger joint on Khao Talo that's being advertised on local FM. Any reports?.

Sorry but I know nothing about the Vegetarian restaurant in question and won't be finding out, they serve what a good lunch has for lunch!. All I know about Vegetarian joints is there's one just before the corner of Pattaya Tai and 3rd Rd that must be ok, it's been there for 15+ years.

I was there last night and had their Aussie burger which was good but a lot smaller than the burgers at the Route 66.

One thing the Aussie burger had was beetroot and I love beetroot on burgers.

    Worth a try.

Every time I drive past the place, and that is almost everyday, I have never seen any customers in there.

Get there quickly veggie boy before it closes down.

Exactly. We are much more likely to have a healthy old age, instead of a miserable old age.

    It's all just probabilities.

I didn't know there was a Tony's gym on SSCC, he gets every where.

If you were coming from town go past the market and new condo blocks, carry on round both bends and it's a it further up on the left hand side.

Not necessarily. It depends how knowledgeable his wife was about nutrients. A lot of veggies don't balance their diets correctly (yes, I know a lot of non veggies don't either) and too little protein or calcium (often found in animal related products) can hinder a child's growth and development.

As for the restaurant, Kurgen, have you tried it yet? One of the big problems I had about being a veggie in Thailand was the ubiquitous fish sauce. How do authentic veggie restaurants get around that?
And why does the place want to ban chlorophyll???
