    Anyone fibreglassed a water tank?

I had a look in my concrete water tank yesterday and noticed once again roots had got in through the ring joins.

I have cut out and re pointed the joints but no doubt in a year or two I'll have to do it again.

I was thinking that I could get the sides fibreglassed to solve the problem once and for all.

Is there a local company that does this or one that supplies sheets and glue?
I would post pictures but life's too short.

Kurgen ask one of the shop that make car boby part.
Make sure when they do the last coat of resin to add 5% wax styere, I think thai call it(mono wax)
Adding the wax helps to harden the surface.

Good luck &as Fondles hitted inside a good idea.

Dig it out and put a plastic one in.
Or leave it, you could probably find a plastic one that fits inside the rings...

    Kurgen

1 layer 300 gram csm would do the job, now the tank is aprox 13 m3 x fibreglass 300g = 4 kgs
You are better having a little extra
    300g x 4.5kgs CSM ?
    Iso Resin 4/1 = 18kgs
    KEKP 360 gram
    Acetone 2 litres
    180mm paint roller
    1 large paint tray
    Mono wax 50 gram

OK that the materials that you will need

Took the easy root in the end and gave it 5 coats of a silicone sealer.

I can see the sides are dry as I'm now using my bore hole again which gives me clear water.

City water is sewage based by the looks of it.
