    Pool Shops - Getting service

Just been all over Pattaya trying to get my pool water tested for salt levels, acid demand, total alkalinity and stabilizer levels. No-one can do it. Wondering how all these pool builders/shops can get a pool right when they cant even test what it needs. Guesswork & hope I presume. All they wanted to do was sell me another test kit the same as the one I showed them I already have. The last one, Home and Pool tried to charge me 600 baht just for salt level which was all they could do. IMO a rippoff. Guess I am used to Aus where it is free then they get sell you a heap of chemicals. Does anyone know of a shop where they actually know what they are doing?

Tell us which shops you have already visited that way people won't to you to go to them.

Apart from Home and Pool in 3rd Rd I didn't take that much notice of the names, if they had any. 2 in Pattaya Nth Rd. Pool Doctors in Soi KhaoTalo, one in Huay Yai Rd.
I reckon they all seem to be about the same; just work on guesswork. Might have to bite the bullet and buy an expensive tester on Ebay or similar.

    Cheers
