    Nova Ocean View Pratumnak

Despite selling condo's in Nova Ocean View Pratumnak soi6 for 5 million Baht plus to "lucky" owners, the Nova group and Pattaya City Hall seem unwilling or unable to do anything about the noise from the the market dead opposite.

The fun starts about 5pm when a screeching female is teaching an aerobics class to less than 10 people, which can be heard from a kilometer away, then on into the night a beer garden (Licensed?) has sprung up with its own open air DJ pumping music into the night air till late.

All this in the area proclaimed be the Nova Groups OWN website speel to be less than 300 meters from The Royal Highness's Princess Soamsawali own residence estate

Pattaya's Five Star Condominum on Pratumnak Soi.6 | Nova Ocean View | Thailand

    Check out "location"

This is one example just how developers don't care once they have sold all the units and will tell you anything. Be careful

What was there first? the market or the condo?

Reminds me of those dickheads who buy houses adjacent to airports and then complain about the noise and wanting the airport closed down.

Anybody that buys a condo without considering existing sources of noise nearby and then complains about it later is a bit of a twat.

Nova Group is owned by a superbly run, efficient co. run by an Israeli dude and i commend him.
I have stayed at Nova Park, soi AR a few times and always enjoyed it but i asked how this clever guy could own so much real estate, much as Tony does, being a non-Thai and never got an answer so probably best not to ask.
Each time i come to Pattaya there is a new NOVA, wow and this guy must have out thought Richard Branson and Gates combined.

Thanks for the comments, the market sprang up around Christmas time this year, its owned by a Bangkok group . Its no small affair over 200 stalls.

Before this happened Pratumnak was known as a quiet peaceful area, which it was

Yes it is, not late, its closed by midnight, but 7 hours of thumping music already by then.

Its managed by a Russian guy, whom I suppose has a work permit!!!!!

I would imagine property prices have taken a hit in the places surrounding the market, anyone that did a bit of research would not buy or rent there now

    Russian Market

I'm amazed . . . I'm looking to buy a condo that's NEAR the market (I'm renting just opposite at the moment . . its a wonderful place to eat . . very clean . . the fitness crowd are gone by very early evening and you have to sit right next to the stage for the music to be too loud. . . . the Russian Market is an asset to the area. I eat there all the time.

Pratumnak is sold to the naive and gullible as a place where the elite live. It may have had that cachet years ago but now it's simply a development feeding frenzy where the lower end, middle of the road Russkies also take their holidays.

I know the spot and feel for the OP but the area can only get worse. The " castle " is front rank on the shoreline so I shouldn't think it would suffer from noise pollution.

Your only hope us that someone develops the market site and builds a condo in front but then you'll lose your view..........

    Rent your gaff and move....
