Answer to previous questions, we check all references and do a police check where possible. all volunteers who visit orphanages have to sign a disclaimer. and adhere to strict rules. we are a foundation not a charity, i agree with the above, a lot of charities in the west only have to give 10% of money direct to the cause. main one was "save the children, Dr barnandos" just go visit there grand offices in london then you see where the money goes.

Carol our founder, bought all the orphanages with her own money, and pays orphanage staff herself. everyone else works as a unpaid volunteer, if you look at our website you can see money goes 100% direct to the children for education. you can send sponsored children letters etc, gifts and they will reply back to you, we are registered 501/c in the USA.

Not quite true - not on my part, anyway.

You were 'muscling in' on our advertising of an event we were holding, both on here and on HHAD (Hua Hin After Dark, Obs - another forum which ihf charity is a member on). As it turned out, both events were doomed to failure. You implied I'd stolen your idea (I took it from a fundraising website). I stated that red was a bad colour to choose in the current political climate in Thailand. Is that about right?

Nobody here gives more to dogs than to children. It's wrong and obscene to say that they do. All charities have a place. All philanthropists have one (or more) area they like to give to. We at HRD are not competing with your (or any) orphanage and never would. In fact, I've been supporting Mercy House in Pranburi for longer than I've been involved with dogs.

That's it. That's the sum total of the 'disagreement' as far as I'm concerned.


BTW, ihfcharity, most of our regular funding comes from overseas. Very little is from Thailand - virtually nothing from Hua Hin.
