    "Many people dead"

I live in a pretty remote, quite small village in the NE. and people keep on dying!

It's like one a week on average, some times two.

What's it like in your village or town. They seem to be dropping of like flies. The first few months she'd ask me to go but now I'm afraid not. Too much food and too much talking. At this rate the bloody place will be empty soon.

Any one else got the same kinda thing going on?

Pattaya is great for dead people watching, if you drive round Pattaya on the big roads for more than 5 hours perday you will average at least one dead person perday, also viewtalay condos are pretty good for watching farangs that think they can fly, sadly their flying abilities leave a lot to be desired and so far it has been a 100 percent failure rate

Yes, but you've got millions, well thousands of people down there. You can afford to lose a few. You're probably better off without some of them. Here we've got a limited supply and though I've offered my services to keep the population stable I was turned down flat .

I am glad someone else has noticed this phenomenon.

I was wondering why there are so many deaths in the district where I live as well. And not only old codgers handing in the spoon.
Maybe it looks that way because I am expected to pay my respects and a green or red in an envelope. Only got invited to close family funerals before.

Someone always manages to sneak some booze in, so it's not too boring, but I am going less and less.

Ha! good to hear. I'm not alone in this. But why? We're close to one a week here!

It's getting so I'm wondering if they're making it up. An excuse for a piss up. I don't know....

    Sounds about right.
I remember being concerned about it at first
I suppose I have just gotten used to it.

About 2 months ago it seemed like the missus was going to a funeral about twice a week. Since then it's died down and there hasn't been a funeral for a month.

Average lifespan in Thailand is 23560 days.
Divide that by the population of your village and that should be the average gap between funerals in days.

Has anyone else noticed it always seems to be cancer usually liver. Then there’s the odd suicide, like a Thai woman who hung herself in our town today, and a rare road accident death. Death by heart attack never seems to happen.
Now I think about, there was a spate of poisonings a while back.

Luckily we don't hear about the AIDS deaths. There was a young guy in his early 20's died recently from heavy metal poisoning. He was working in a battery factory.

Most of mine seem to be old people. Thing is they hide in their huts and you don't get to see them during the day. Next thing they're dead, or so the family explains, and its
    free chickens all round. !
