Not far from where I live and right on the main road to Bangkok is the Save One night market. This huge market is open daily, but only in the evening. I think it gets its name from a supermarket that used to be open on the site.
Just about everything is sold here: used books, clothing, electronics, antiques, music and videos, groceries, prepared food, plants, etc.
Prepared food in the building in the rear.
Used books and magazines. Mostly Thai but some English and other languages.
This guy has wonderful baked goods. We usually buy something that he calls "Choco-Balls" (hmmm). He was ought last night so we bought some unfortunately stale chocolate cake. We ate it anyway.
Prepared food in here. Fried luk chin, anyone?
Pork sausage.
More food stalls. Just about any Thai food is available. We usually opt for Yam Pla Dook Foo. But, for some reason Ms. AC wanted Khao Ka Moo last night.
There you go. A full month's supply of cholesterol in one bowl!
