Considering both are illegal in the Kingdom I doubt there will be a retail shop front from which to purchase the equipment.....
Still this is Thailand so anything is possible I guess.
Thanks for your reply Fondles ,the latter part of your post "this is Thailand" brought a smile on, and filled me full of hope that all is not lost!
^ The links I posted in the other thread are all thai sites..
IIRC a member on TD gets stuff shipped in from Singapore (brewer's yeast etc) that he buys over the internet.
It is illegal to home-brew here because the tax man doesn't get his cut, I'd be wary of coming out of a shop with armfulls of demi-johns, tubes and yeast and airlocks, it would be an easy nab for your average lazy BiB.
Send a PM to Mr Earl, he's the guy who got some posted from Singapore to make his mead (which came out really well).Originally Posted by piwanoi

Cheers again for that bit of info Necron , yeah it was Lek11 ,don't know what was said as Jan was gabbing on in Thai and give me the thumbs up, from what I see in their brochure it would appear they carry about everything for guys like me , I ain't going down cos Jans Brother can do the biz for me as Jan says he's only 15 minutes away and he can post it to me, ,and anyway he knows that when he comes up for New Year I'll get him well pissed just like last year!
Sorry bout that can't savvy why you can't post the info out
Sorry, brainfart.
Heh Piwinoi, where did you get the demijohns from? Did you bring then with you or using something similar?
No Gilbert these are actual 5 liter glass demijohns, I have a good friend who runs a Resort /restaurant who used to purchase 12 Demijohn filled with cheap Italian Wine , he used to supply me with his empty,s ,but now has discontinued buying it and instead now buys South African in 5 liter Cartons , I gave quite a lot away and now have about a dozen or so which is OK for the amount I make .
Piwanoi, did Lek11 have yeast?
I see antioxidants and fining, but no yeast on his website.
Yeah Necron they have wine yeast in stock, they also have a postal service and all the details are right at the bottom of the page (in Thai) the price for half a kilo is 2,500 baht ,at first I thought it was a bit steep, but when you think about it, how many teaspoons full can you get out of half a kilo ? Jan says the shop not far from Don Muang airport either in or very near to Rangsit , to be frank I cannot see it being illegal, and the business is hardly hidden away as there is even a map as to just were it is , the phone #is 02 -900-7881 get your good lady to bell them, as the two women I tried to speak to was some what vague to say the least, so I asked Jan to do the biz ,good luck
