I see you stayed in the Siri Hotel, Bangers.
Which means you surely MUST of gone for a bite to eat at the neighbouring VFW cafe?
Um ........ not sure mate. Only stayed there in passing through. The first time we ate a few hundred metres up the road towards town where the road forks and there is a Chinese shrine with a few food stalls and cheap beer . Nice place to get quietly and cheaply pissed .( see pics )
Can't remember the second time. I do remember there was some kind of nightclub out the back with a load of totties wandering in and out but Ms Bangyai was tugging me along by the earlobe so I only got a quick glance.
That would be the only Go-Go bar in town. The karaoke place next to the hotel is just as rude. The VFW (Veterans of Foreign Wars cafe) is literally right next to the hotel, on the left, as you look at it from the front. Good, cheap grub.Originally Posted by Bangyai
Used to drive passed that Chinese Shrine you mention everyday, in a former life.
Well fancy that ! I knew my hooter could sniff a lose fanny at 1000 paces but I thought it had lost the touch. Obviously still works then but I am not allowed any crack on the side so not much use to me.
When we drove into Korat I did stop at 3 other hotel but after checking out the rooms was unimpressed. This was the 4th place we tried and it was a fair price and a reasonably central location. Think I'd prefer Korat to the beach but I guess you can have too much of anything. Whenever I stay on or near a beach I get bored after a while and yearn for the seedy city life.
Good luck on your relocation anyways ST. ( wherever it ends up )
Korat definitely has its attributes. Several hundred thousand of them in factOriginally Posted by Bangyai
