Looking for hotel in Korat / Nakhon Ratchasima

Three weeks before we leave for Thailand and counting ;-).

We now plan Bangkok - Overnight Korat - daytrip to Phimai - Overnicht Korat - onto Nang Rong.

From Bangkok should we go to the old or new bussstation?

Any suggestions for a hotel in Korat are much appreciated. Family or connecting room would be nice. Swimming pool maby? Good location (in regard to busstation/ centre/ night market).

    Thanks again.

It will automatically go to the new bus station. The Sabai Hotel is just down from there, behind Makro. I found it to be very good. Get a Tuk Tuk to get there. A taxi to the night market won't break the bank . It has 3 swimming pools.

It appears to be, and is about the same distance from the bus station as the Sabai, but closer to the town centre.

I'll second the Sabai Hotel, except I found it to have no swimming pools.

Not any more. I tried to email Rachaphruk, but it bounces. We'll prbably just turn up there and see what they have.
