What is Sin Sot
All so getting married I'am I the lucky one and pick up the total cost
Has any one gone thru this and what was the cost getting married in Kranuan what can I expect

How much do the buggers want off you, will it all be returned or not? Don't pay what they ask for or they will consider you a push over in the future. I think even for a 'virgin' and uni educated 100-200k is quite enough, any more and they are taking the piss. If a bar woker or already been married/has kids don't pay anything, no Thai would and you are being asked to follow the Thai way of doing things.

Not true from what I have seen and yes Thais some will pay sinsot for a used one with kids

As for wedding, the guests should bring about 200 to 300 baht each to cover the food etc. I doubt you will see any of that though.

Negotiate a price for sinsot and wedding party combined.
That way your costs cannot escalate and if the parents want to have a 'big face party' then they will end up with less at the end of the day.

It's the name for the money you give to purchase your wife from her parents. Usually the Westerner's sin-sot is 10 times that of what a local lad would have to pay.

Of course, if you have decided you're happy to buy your wife, she is yours to do whatever the hell you want with, and you make damn sure you don't take any crap from her (same as if you buy a dog or a car).

This is how Papa will calculate the sin sot.

Your age minus her age X Million Baht.
Less 1 baht per child she has.
Less 1 baht for every trick she has pulled in the go go. That's about 100,000 baht on average.
Then double the total figure and add 1 buffalo.
There will also be an annual rental fee of 1 new roof or motorbike.
