Its low season so just walk in and it should be no problem getting a room.

Have your wife go in 1st and get a bargain price on the room.

Further more, why would you want to stay at such a screwed up place.

If it is this much trouble getting a reservation, I can imagine that their service is worse in person.

In Thailand, usually the sale is number 1 and top notch and what follows is a real disappointment, so you could be real upset with what's for store.

As Samak said should be ok, low season, large hotel...but if not you can try the Dusit, stayed there forever and never had a plobrem.

    MJ Majestic Reservations

A similar problem was encountered by another visitor to Sakon Nakhon recently.
    Forget reservations via email.
Best to let a Thai speaking person phone them.

I have been told that the hotel is booked for quite some time.
Wax castle festival and boat races begin October 10.

Alternatively I recommend the newly opened Elegant Hotel near he government hospital.
