    Is it BKK Grill?

There is "Tong Dee" on the corner up from big C, wooden outer, open sometimes, they have good food in there. the pong yang kam steak house is good, but 10 minutes outside of town. I made it to golden pond a few times and hit neds once in a while while i worked there. some really good tom yum noodles on the road that runs parrallel to the main road Macro i son. basically turn left onto the side macro road and hit the noodle spot on the right hand side. i use to eat at the school i worked at a lot, good stuff for like 10 baht. they put up the pizza company after i left.

Tong dee (good gold)...been there, but when I asked for steak knives instead of the regular blunt instruments the waiter said they don't have any, then commented to mrs that farangs are too demanding.

Ended up doing a takeaway of the 2 x 3/4 leftovers, went for a haircut and gave it to the barber.

Used to frequent Greeen Corner two sometimes 3x daily when I was marooned in SK...now eager to broaden my horizons.

Btw definitely wouldn't recommend the restaurant couple of hundred yards from GC, the one with tables made of converted sewing machnes...crap food, crap service, crap crapper.

Well, sjeng, I've been wondering about you. Nice to know that you have arrived in Nakhon Phanom - just in time for the nice weather. When you get the urge to roam, come on over to Thakhek for a day or two - quiet and cheap and friendly.

Have you had any luck on finding a builder? What are you building - a new house?

    Take care -

    Ralph

What sort of place are you looking to build?
My family is down the road in Na Kae. Two of my brother in laws are builders, concrete and wood.
The head guy that does all the planning is a good guy as well, did all the stuff for my place, as well as many others in Na kae.
I know for a fact they are fair. interested let me know.

Anyone know if 90-day reporting can be done in Nakhon Phanom if I'm down as living in Pty? Saves another haul.

If so, where in NP is immigration?

It's on the river front not too far from the boat ramp. It's been a while since I've since I've been there, but my friend does his 90 day stuff there and says they are friendly. Of course he always brings a small gift.
