Raving on in a disgusting fashion about the Ethnic Cleansing/Genocide of Muslims and refugees, as an acceptable solution to the Wests social Ills, like was done in the threads after the Paris attacks is fine apparently. Coffee I'm not going to name names but this was taken from another local forum talking about Immigrations crack down on ex-pats working with-out WP

I see no issue with 'helping out' at ******* *****, ****** ***, * & * *****, *******, *********, ******* ***** ****, ****** **** etc, etc. None of these business that are essentially Farang funded are taking any business away from Thais, in fact many are employing Thais.

Absolutely correct; and I agree whole heartedly; however, technically . . Immigration 'could' classify it as 'working'. Will they? Maybe, maybe not. I have chosen to not take that path; rather, am going with the 'marriage' type thereby reducing the frozen bank account by half or prove half the income and have the option of applying for a work permit, as I see fit.

When I had a Bar in Koh Samui I had Company Papers and a WP.When we moved up to Surin I helped the wife Open a small Village Shop. My wife and her Family run the shop and I had very little in the running of it and I just left them to it. I did however pick up stock from the local wholesalers from time to time.....If Immigration had caught me would I have been deported for working without a WP???......Possible !!
Now looks at some of the posters/members and you will see who fall's into that type of category.

Through my friends I have found out who KevM is/was and had an on-line chat with him. He told me that he used no VPN or IP changing software ( as they are banned from SF ) and he even gave me his IP number so I could check his location .Any Admin/Mod worth his sort would have used a IP Look-up site to check the posters IP. Dave would have done this for sure and would have know that the IP address of KevM was nowhere near the location of the location of the alleged perpetrator posted up on the Shout Box by Dave.
Some seem to think that every word their Admin say's is true.....in SF's moderators case nothing could be further than the truth

Went to that new Diner, Route 214 Diner near Robinsons , this morning i was with the wife and kids , there was a dog staring at us through the glass doors , no staff in sight inside , as i don't dine with dogs we turned around and got back into the car, if this place is hoping to survive the owners need to get the dog out of this place and get some staff, we won't be going back for surin

No idea why no one from Surin Farang has replied to your questions nor do I have any knowledge of any other Surin focused forum, although that does not say much.

You could post your questions here on Teakdoor as a few members live in and around Surin or have knowledge of the area.

There are also 2 local fora in neigbouring provinces - Roi Et (associated with Surin Farang) and Buriram where postes could/would have knowledge of Surin

The reason that I am looking for Surin dwellers, as you have guessed already, is that my old girl is from Surin area. God knows, I might move some day in that area and, I'm really curious how things are there.

Actually, I was in Surin city in March last year. We stayed in Majestic and, we ate in Farang Connection ones but, we were only people there, perhaps, because it was late, about 9 p.m. Then, I even saw one farang on the short street that connects some main street to the bus station square. He was doing something next to his silver pickup truck. BTW, he looked very similar to a gentlemen surrounded by Thai ladies on the one of the Xmas photos posted at SF forum. He gave me such a look....like I was going to ask him for change or something. I was not, I swear.

So.....I will really appreciate if Surin folks could answer few of my questions regarding farang's life there. I did read everything on Yorky's (?) web site lifeinsurin.com and, I have some basic understanding however, I would like to hear as many opinions as possible.

My pension will start in September but, I'd like to work 4-5 years more, unless something unexpected happens (lottery winning or heart attack, whichever comes first). In this time I might get some place in Thailand, at least, I'm thinking about that.

I promise not to be annoying. I will ask about one topic per week, not because I do not enjoy your company, it's just because I still work to build my retirement fund. And, I still live alone and all cooking/cleaning is on me (hope to pass some to my old girl when she arrives). I can not really chat with you because time difference is also to be considered. There is only 2 reasons why people come and live in Surin

#1 Because your partner comes from here.
#2 You have been offered a Job here .
There is no other reason to come and live here

If I was to relocate I would defiantly find somewhere near the coast. I lived on Koh Samui for 3 years but moved up to Surin because of #1 and for a more quiet way of life.

Best to travel around until you find somewhere you like........I've heard some parts of Spain are nice

Roi Et Farang has shut down because it was like a ghost town and BuriramExpats is quiet also .....unless I get bored and sigh up and get them going

You could try again but I see they have their Registration turned off at the moment .......try going to the bottom of their Home-page and you will see the option " Contact us "..... send them an email to ask them why you can't gain access .
But to be honest unless you send them a DNA Sample along with you passport ,Birth Cert,Name,address and Telephone Number Details ( which will be seen by everyone on the WWW, until you can get into your profile and disable your Forum settings ) ...as they are a paranoid lot and they don't like strangers.
