That's why his wife ran away. I know her and her side of the family well. It would take a lot to bring her to leave him. Frankly, he's a prick. A fat British slob. If you were to browse the FarangConnection web site a year ago, one received updates about their sorid seperation and subsequent "property dividing". One can't find those archived stories anywhere on the site anymore. I believe there tends to be a sort of romantic myth surrounding him and the place.
Well I sure couldn't live on Thai food, got to have proper food on the odd occasion, insects and dog just don't hit the spot.
If you have lived here so long, why do you ask questions about available satellite packages and how to get a job in Bkk or Pattaya?Originally Posted by Rural Surin

Nor can I. I live well and truly in the sticks and spend little or no time in "farang" restaurants and pubs. I stock up on the ingredients I need and I am never short of very tasty home cooked "farang" food far superior to any found in resturants.Originally Posted by dirtydog

It wasn't meant in an offensive or sarcastic way. But you say that you have no desire to interact with the likes of us (ie - expats), and yet you spend time interacting with us.
You do kind of remind me of another poster who hates Thailand and Thais, yet can't keep away from the place.
I will assume that you want an answer to the "I could ask the same of you...."?
I post here because most people on here are decent peeps who have a wealth of info about Thailand that I can access just by posting a question. I have also met with many and have enjoyed their company (and still do) which has enriched my life here considerably.
