    Issan Country, Sung Noen

    Hey Folks,

I'd just like to shamelessly plug the Mrs' new restaurant, Isaan Country...

It's in Amphur Sung Noen on Highway 24 headed towards Bangkok.

They are still working out the menu just now, mostly Thai/Isaan food but there are some German sausages, Pork Knuckles for sale as well with some nice German beer to wash them down with. We also found a great supplier of steak recently so hopefully they can get that on the menu too. Once the Thai menu is sorted, i'll have them try out some Western dishes.

Live music at the weekends and English Premiership Football, midweek there's often a folk singer or two ... Please stop by if you are in the area or just passing through.

We have our own sponsored restaurant in the area already.

Live Goats and Goatsports on cable on the weekends, some local goats midweek.

We a serve rodents, offal and insects, all with lashes of rotting fish mucus.
Recently added western food in the form of Mc99's "Are You Fucking Happy Now?" (tm) Meal Deal
and the famous "Aloha Fat Bastard Samurai Teriyaki Double Pua'a Whopper with Cheese" (tm)

All with hot & cold Chang or Lao Khao.

Thanks Nigel, appreciate the sentiments. It's all about adapting to the local market.
Since we stopped refrigerating the Chang, found a final solution to the feral dog problem (and added a new menu item to the Mc99's franchise) the place has been going gangbusters...

The goats can barely keep up!

Forgot to say good luck with the restaurant. I'm quite close by, I think. Sung Noen is just before Korat heading north east, is it not?

Looks like a very nice place to stop for refreshments. Will be passing by on my way north later in the year and look forward to German beer and wurst, with some lovely mittelscharfer zenf to go with it.
    Good luck with you enterprise.
