I'd be more worried if you're near a farm!

AP if this is drinking water, do the locals drink it, then you can.
Simple test, smell, taste and fill a sterile bottle with the water, seal and leave in the sun for a few weeks. Nothing grows, waters good. Jim
And if you have kids, I wouldn't recommend letting them drink from a plastic bottle that has been left in the sun. While the UV may be good for the water, it certainly isn't for the plastic holding it.
It's not to drink, it's to see if anything grows, green stuff. We have well water, but don't drink it, it's OK to drink, but there is a magic spring near the river, that's where we get our drinking water. Very pure, clean and a good taste, comes from the mountains, filtered over years through the rocks, then comes out near the river. Jim
Not drinking it all water to house is run into a filtering system then into a tank.
Thought of the chlorine tab but it will not kill giardia i have found out.
^ did't have come to live here recently,
it's your immune system getting used to some new bacteria found locally,
Foods coming out almost same way it went in.
55555 ooooo...nice ...put your teeth in?
on a more serious note ..some other poster someplace said somethingto the effect that after a while in LOS one should lower ones expectations as to ever seeing solid fecal matter..555
Some water musings:
We have unsealed concrete pipe wells...one up on the hill a little above house (catchment from maybe 100vm of rubber terraces above), one in a ravine about 200 vertical meters below us.
Whenever it rains heavily, surface water methinks flows into wells and makes 'em white or brown with mud/clay.
Once pumped into tanks I dump in maybe a cup full of crushed Alum. Takes about an hour to completely clarify the water. If you google alum says it's an antibiotic/bacterial.
We mostly drink roof runoff water..just a big plastic bowl sitting on veranda and a garbage can as storage ....a hello kitty scoop, bleach bottle funnel with a cloth coffee filter and into our water cooler bottle. When cleaning water cooler and bottle always a bit if accumulated sediment dirt etc but so far not too many stomach issues. Bottle sometimes gets a slight coating of green or grey something and have to put in a handful of sand, bit of bleach to scour.
Me.. I don't drink much water... makes your legs go rusty, so stick to stronger stuff.
Remember that you don't need to drink the water to be affected by it. Being the largest organ the skin absorbs the water and anything, VOCs which could be from neighboring farms for example.
I was suffering from skin irritation from the water here in Bangkok. While I could bare it, I didn't want my newborn at the time suffering the same as me so I installed and external water filter. So far I've had no kin issues since.
You bullied, you laughed, you lied, you lost!
Don't worry about bacteria, worry about cancer inducing heavy metals and so on coming from indiscriminate spraying activities.
Try the local university.
^that would make him vomit from another orifice
