"Ban Kham?! Where the heck is that?" Well, it's in Pensuk village (or subdistrict?) in Chomphra city in the beautiful province of Surin.
First of all a short introduction:
I estimate Ban Kham to be home for ~100-150 families, we've got our very own Ban Kham temple (unfortunately across the road from our room).
We're living together with half the family, me and my wife built ourselves a room 2 years ago and my wife decided that it was a good idea to paint it... pink! Our room is ground floor, my sister in law with her husband and 2 daughters live on the second floor.
Our neighbors are my aunt and uncle in law, uncle being village spokesman at all religious meetings and festivals. He has lost most of his teeth and ability to speak, but that doesn't seem to bother anyone.
Two houses further lives my other sister in law, together with her son and daughter. I'm not sure if she's still together with her husband but they barely talk with one another. Mother in law is living with this family, father in law sleeps at the farm, being drunk 80% of the time.
Next time more village life.
