North East Thailand, The Isaan Forum Whether you spell it Issan,Isaan or Isarn, North Eastern Thailand is the home of the Surin Elephant Round up, the Yasothon Rocket Festival and the Nong Khai Fire Balls. Isaan contains some of the best examples of Khmer temples-The Phra That Phanom, Phimai Historical Park, the Prasat Hin Khao Phanom Rung and the Prasat Hin Phimai. Isaan is the gateway to Laos with bridges at Nong Khai and Mukdahan & includes Provinces such as Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Korat, loei, Maha Sarakham, Nakhon Phanom, Nong Bua Lamphu, Roi Et, Sakon Nakhon, Sisaket, Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani & Yasothon.![]() |

I believe BillyBob claimed the title a while back. But, after 2 years of trying to make the perfect, southern style, buscuit I have shut him down. I haven't however, figured out how to make the gravy perfect (like mom made) yet though. BUT, I will. ![]() |
