Hi there Been in Mahasarakham for 2 months ,another 3 to go. Wondering anyone close to here and would fancy a game or two of Snooker and maybe a pint or two??

I've two friends living up there, don't think they play snooker though. Cheap beer though, I think they have that for breakfast.

What are doing in Sarakham? I think it's easier to meet people in Roi-Et where's there's a much larger Expat population. I think most of the maybe 100 foreigners in the city are either teachers, and form friendships through work, or are retired and moved to the middle of Isan and have no real way to meet their fellow Westerners there.

We have a house in Sarakham (5 years now) this is a 6 month trip prior to retirement, Roi-et is kind of far to go for snooker and beer and drive home.

Perhaps you should retire to Roi-Et.

It's going to be bloody boring being retired in a city in Isan with almost no other Westeners when you crave Western friends and social activities.

Hi, my name is Frank. I,m a new member on this forum, and I noticed your thread.
