North East Thailand, The Isaan Forum Whether you spell it Issan,Isaan or Isarn, North Eastern Thailand is the home of the Surin Elephant Round up, the Yasothon Rocket Festival and the Nong Khai Fire Balls. Isaan contains some of the best examples of Khmer temples-The Phra That Phanom, Phimai Historical Park, the Prasat Hin Khao Phanom Rung and the Prasat Hin Phimai. Isaan is the gateway to Laos with bridges at Nong Khai and Mukdahan & includes Provinces such as Amnat Charoen, Buriram, Chaiyaphum, Kalasin, Khon Kaen, Korat, loei, Maha Sarakham, Nakhon Phanom, Nong Bua Lamphu, Roi Et, Sakon Nakhon, Sisaket, Surin, Ubon Ratchathani, Udon Thani & Yasothon.![]() |

One thing I keep forgetting though is that even though you are in Isaan, most of ya'll live in the cities. The jungle is just a stones throw from the house. Quiet and peaceful most of the time. |

As to where the store is? It is near Champae. Can't tell you how to get there. Unless I am driving, I haven't a clue how to get there. Thanks for the nefews, etc. In Texas for Christmas, should return sometime in Jan. | ||
