You might try one of the Korat forums.
i believe theres some good dentists in korat, bit far though, i may also lose all my teeth there.
james if possible you have a name or address?
thanks
Ubonrak Private Hospital is said to be good. I haven't been.
Thanks Guys
Lots and lots of good dentists in Ubon. Some are good and cheap. Some are good and expensive. I am told that opposite Robinson there is a very good lady dentist who speaks German. Another dentist is across the road from Lek Num Sut (Upalisaan Road up from the back entrance to Robinson). A friend of mine recommends Somchai in Warin. On the one way road straight up from the Warin Railway station. On a corner with green chairs in the window. Quick, cheap and good quality. Then others go to the dentists in Ubonrat hospital. There seems to be dentists on every major road in Ubon and Warin.
Somchai will do crowns. Cost about 6,000 baht. Takes 6 visits before the crown is finally mounted.
This Ubonite can't help much- I've never been to a dentist in Ubon, or Thailand.
But that is about to change, now that I've got two cracked teeth (and one is starting to Hurt). Appreciate the feedback.
Don't go to the lady dentist across the road from the main Bangkok Bank in the old market area. Next to the video shop. She is good but on several visits late morning, while she is drilling etc, she watches the Thailand Stock Exchange updates coming across the bottom of the TV screen. Then she gets on her mobile phone and makes a call or two to lay a "bet" on the stock index. Other than that she is okay.
Guy in Det, much cheaper, had a load of work done last year. Crowns 3000, root canal and crown 5000 Baht. Only problem is he does not have an x ray machine so he can not see problems before they become problems. Jim
My tooth often encounters a problem so I visit dentist at least three times to Ubon Ratchathani Dentist in Thailand. He is a thai man and I often get my tooth cleaned by him and he results in doing an excellent job. The fees of this dentist is reasonable too.
Thanks again guys if any phone numbers would be appreciated.
Just had some root canal work done and I'm happy with the job. The surgery is on the main drag in Ubon (Chayankul Road) on the right going north, in the next block up from that containing the Tokyo Hotel.
The lady dentist that did my work speaks decent English and is there on Fridays and Saturdays (maybe Sundays also) - the rest of the time she works in a practice in Bangkok and is doing some further studies in implants, according to what she told me.
Another female dentist (the mother, I think) is there the rest of the time. I don't know what she's like as I've never had her do any work on me, but a friend speaks very highly of her.
The work is good but the surgery is a bit of a dump.
Phone number 045-242701. The staff don't speak any English.
Hope this helps.

2 Somchai in Warin is good. My dentist. 045 324046 Hours Mon-Sat 9-20.00 hrs.
3 Opposite Robinson. Flash place. Expensive but very good. Lady dentist trained in Germany. 045-312909 084-0396999 Hrs Mon-Sat 9am-12am & 5pm-8pm.
4 Dentist Waraporn. On corner of Upalisaan and Jansanit Road. Very good Hrs Mo-Fri 13 -20 hrs and Sat-Sun 9-20 hrs. 045-261169. My friend got broken teeth repaired there.
TY Christopher will get wife to check them out, still back in UK, and i am not paying UK prices for dentistry.
