Oh, and I would have to wait 4 months.
Today, I tried Mazda. Before I asked about extras, I was offered Bed liner, underseal, 3m window tints, Road tax + 1yr 1st class insurance, mats, reg no surrounds. Delivery was 2 weeks.
I think I know where I'll be spending my hard earned baht.

Good on ya, I think this Ford HISO is a pile of crap
OK the Mazda is ugly beast, but you can get it in 2 weeks.
    So to you's FORD muppets

So, nothing to do with Ford not being able to get their fingers out their arse to fulfill orders then?
When I was in the showroom there were two other people in there that were negotiating on BT50's.
As we left, I took a look in the Ford showroom......empty.
Do not walk beside me, for I may not lead. Do not walk ahead of me for I may not follow. Just pretty much leave me the fuck alone!

^ Fords order book is fantastic, Mazda have sold fuck all in comparison, both here and abroad. Are you in some way trying to contest this by pointing out that the Ford dealer had no prospective customers in side during the small timeframe you were on-site?

Sounds like they are desperate to shift them?, OTOH Ford don't give a shit, they know people are putting deposits down at alarming rate, and are turning money away on the Wildtrak, which creates a scenario where the thing just becomes even more desirable and sought after.
    Mazda must be kicking themselves

Perhaps those who buy Mazdas are more intelligent and wish to buy a car that actually works as opposed to a car than cannot be bought and isn't exactly a sparkling performer anyway ?

I won't buy into the 'which is better, Ford or Mazda' debate.

I'll just keep driving around in my Mazda, with a smile on my face (to match the grill) and keeping a lookout to see if I'll ever glimpse one of them orange Wildtrak's.

You must have a big set of gnashers to match Sir Les Patersons in your avatar to match that comical one on the Mazda then.

Can you explain how the Mazda is a better performer than the Ford when they are the same truck engineering wise? The only difference being is Mazda let Pixar design the BT50.

You should remove that helmet as it seems that the pressure it brings has reduced your ability to read. I said that Mazda drivers are more intelligent as they can actually have cars to drive. The Ford Ranger freaks are thickies as they are talking about a car that they cannot buy.

I'm not going to piss about with either as a Land Cruiser is much better than both of them.
Why can't I make new posts?

Okay, the thing is......Under the skin, the Ford and the Mazda are virtually the same truck. Some people prefer the looks of the Mazda, and some prefer the looks of the Ford. If we all liked the same things the world would be a boring place.
So, you pays yer money, and you makes yer choice...............and in the case of the Ford................w a i t.

Mechanically the BT-50 and Ranger might be the same but the driveline calibration differs a fair bit. The BT-50 is a nicer truck to drive.

My dealer just confirmed delivery of my 3.2 Wildtrak for the 30th of this month- the accessories I want will take another week or so to install, so I hope to have it the first week of November.

Now let's see if it actually shows up.

^ Nothing takes a week to install, at the dealer in KK I had to wait a week for a bedliner to be installed, they just didn't have the staff available and seem to be ill prepared for the surge in demand.

There's a week or two wait on both bt50 and ford accessories as the cars are new, no one has stock.
The dealer is obviously waiting until the car arrives before ordering them, not wanting to have bits an pieces laying around for another 6 months...

I believe a few days of that includes ordering them and waiting for them to arrive- he said I could have it on the 30th otherwise- I think he asked for the extra time to cover himself in case he has a problem sourcing what I want (which isn't much- it's stuff like bonnet protector, chrome mirror covers, and window shields- I canceled the snorkel as I think it will look like shit and the truck has a lot of clearance and it probably won't be necessary anyway).

Who knows- maybe it won't materialize- I think it's looking pretty good, though.
There he goes. One of God's own prototypes. A high-powered mutant of some kind never even considered for mass production. Too weird to live, and too rare to die.

I knew you would say that- we New York City rednecks are attracted to shiny things.

Ford makes covers specifically for the Wildtrak (whick only cover the top half of the mirror) that I think look decent in pics- if I don't like them I'll take them off- I'm not crazy about the big black mirrors in stock form.

My mirrors are chrome. I think I'll get the bbq paint out and have a go at them.

I see most models of the new Ranger have chrome bumpers as well. Looks like the disaster Ford America makes of their European models.
