Motoring in Thailand and Asia Cars and motorbikes in Thailand and Asia, Where to buy and sell your truck? Where to get fixed and what garage to use. Should I buy a suzuki carry? Will it have a car DVD? Will my travel insurance cover me for driving in Thailand? Or should I just buy a Mercedes or a Honda CRV? Everything to do with motoring and vehicles goes in this section. Do I really need a driving licence in Thailand to drive to Bangkok car hire?

Better handling for Hilux? So we have just a few more payments left on the Hilux. It hasn't been modified at all yet, but I'd like to do a few things. Anyone have suggestions on firming up the steering? It's a little spongy for my liking. Can I adjust a damper rate, buy new shocks? Also might like a few more horsepower. It has the intercooler (not sure what size engine... didn't pay extra so the small one).

If it still got the standard shocks on it, then there will definately be an improvement with a good quality aftermarket shock. Assumption is a killer, but if its a torsion bar hilux, then again you could replace that as well, a good one of those will certainly help firm up the font end & reduce that bouncing effect you get on bumpy roads.
