^ I though "scoot" was the term attached to the action of a dog when it drags its arse across the grass to remove traces of shit from its ar5ehole?

For one I wouldnt bother with O ring chains as well as the are old technology most run the x ring as well as having longer life they also have less fiction which is why races use them but I would guess on your 150hp bagger you wouldnt miss a few hp being lost

I know what FLHS was, I bought a FLT only 80, it had the 5 speed and rubber mounts, then an 84 FLT because of the block head in it was the first year. Then for a change a 85 FXWG which was block head with 4 speed and solid mounts, rode it 5 weeks and 6000 miles and sold it because I didn't like it.

I didn't call you a squid, but used them as a for instance to the style of go fast for a short day and go home.

I never said 160 mph, but thanks, but the speedo was close 150 and the guy I was chasing on the new beemer said we were running that fast, I already said that.
The dude on the beemer was going back to canada and had been on a trip down thru S America.
And it did dyno at 150 HP and I got the papers when I paid about $3,500 for the screaming eagle shit and the stuff they did in the shop as they did all the CHPs work on their HDs.

Here dudes, read this, it is about the guy who owned the Hog Shop that did the power work on my scooters and I was always satisfied with their work.

He was a go fast dude too sometimes, but he did know HDs.

That's an average of over 170 miles per day, every day. Someone's telling fibs methinks.

I still aint gonna swallow that one, even "if" they manage to get 150hp out of your HD, the frame and the whole construction of the bike would never get it to 160mph, without whobbeling and send you flying into the next centery.

Well I can't help that, but if you haven't ridden the frame that was the prototype for the EVO/FL that was first used in the 80 FLT [which was rubber mounted shovel with 5 speed] and all the later FLs, the 84 FLT with EVO, then you do not know what you are talking about, Since I did not care for the rubber drive I bought a late 83 and put in a 89 EVO and so I had the cased oil bath chain and it was a very stable and low maint machine.

And I never said 160 mph.

    with EVO.

Why do you think that it sounds like your story about owning all them guns scattered around to all the houses that you own and be sure to have a bunch of guns handy at all times??

Joke for BG and Pp :)

Two old farts Blackgang & Peterpan are sitting in a bar when Blackgang says, "Ya know, when I was thirty and got a hard-on, I couldn't bend it, even using both hands. By the time I was forty, I could bend it about ten degrees if I tried really hard. By the time I was fifty, I could bend it about twenty degrees, no problem. I'm gonna be sixty next week, and now I can bend it in half with just one hand.""So," says Peterpan, "what's your point?"

"Well, I'm just wondering how much stronger I'm gonna get

Go back and read again, I said nothing about me owning the guns or about all the houses you say I own... I said we had the guns on the different pieces of land, where our farm is located....

OH OK, I thought it was 190mph
And also thought that you had to own the guns before you could get a permit, Specially a farang. but what the hell, no big deal.

Damn, you don't know me and have most likely never ridden the frame in question, which they still use today and also used with a slight neck modification on the FXRP, so it would turn shorter, that was the CHP bike,
And you call me a liar and have the audacity to say I am hard headed..555

OH By the way if you want to talk to a guy that is in the repair/parts and service of scoots that also owns and rides a FXRTP among other bikes and would like to inquire about the stability of the frame, or want to order parts from the states I can give you his E addy. He said he would be glad to send parts over here if someone wanted them. He is now retired from his employ at a paper mill as a welder after 35 years so has the time to devote to his business.

^ Well good to know, if I ever want a HD with 150hp with a top-speed at 160mph and a frame as strong as a cup of coffee, you'll be the first I call..

well while you are waiting, check out some stuff about stability.

    Motorcycle tech tips

this seems to be what you are talking about anyway.

sorry about some peoples closed mindness, motorcycling its something that grows in the soul and we should not be comparing new and old technologies each one has its class...and the fact of someone to ride a bmw does not make you a sissi or to ride a HD makes you such a macho freak...go fast go slow and cruise its all up to the rider and machine combination... if you know what I mean!!!

^ Look, I know what you mean, and I don't want to get into a huge arguement about this, so here is what I'm saying as clear as I can make it. That bike on your avatar, with the wind-screen, saddle-bags and all the other gear, it will never reach that speed you are talking about, not in a million years...You can call me what you want, a fokkin twa# or what comes to mind.
