    Toyota Yaris headlights.

    They're crap.
We bought a new Yaris TRD 2-3 years ago and I desperately need to improve the head lights, as in fit stronger bulbs.
We asked at the Toyota shop when we got the 30,000 km service this afternoon and they said they couldn't do it.
So..... does anyone know where I can buy or order some super dooper replacements headlight bulbs.
I have the mechanical skills of a duck so any advice would be appreciated.

Is it to be able to see, or to blind people?

Should be lots of modification shops around. Just take it to one and tell them what yer looking for.

Just watch out they don't also replace the rear seat with a 36 inch subwoofer and strobe light.

To be able to see when driving at night in the rain. The opportunity to blind people would be an advantage.

    Dimwit!

It seems that your car has standard H4 bulbs which you can replace with these:

    https://www.ebay.com/itm/2Pcs-Front-...0/323344974488

Aliexpress also has them in many different lumens and probably a better price than ebay.

Yeah being a TuRD I was not sure if halogen or something fancy, hence my question.

CJ, are you sure the headlight housing itself is clean on the inside? Is the plastic on the front nice and clear? I've seen headlights that got a crack in them or the seal around the bulb was bad and moisture got in and "fogged" the headlight housing.

Yup, they're as clean as. We've been really happy with the car in general but the headlights are pathetically weak. SWMBO says it might be my eyes, she could be right.
We're doing a run down to Savannakhet in a week or so, and it be helpful to be able to drive at night.

Strangely, yes. 10 days ago in Darwin. Full eye test. All good other than a very small cataract.

Someone else has complained on google about dim lights..
    This question went unanswered..
does the vehicle have a headlamp level control? Normally a little wheel near the headlamp switch with positions from 0-4.
A couple of recommendations in the link too..

That's interesting. I shall have a look tomorrow. I'm currently engrossed in the Trumpy show so it has to wait. Thanks Dill.

Why has it took you 3 years to decide they are too dim?

Cos we haven't done a long trip since we bought it.
Well we have done 2 trips to Savannakhet but we went really slowly.
This time I'd like to do it in 2 days there, 2 days to get visa and then 2 days back.
I spend most of my time in bed so the lights of the Yaris are irrelevant 'till I'm forced to move.
