I have also emailed a couple of people that may be able to help put but I assume it will be tomorrow before I hear back from them.
Where are you located and what car will they be fitted too?
Why would you put SU's on anything Webers would fit?. Unless restoring something like an XU1 to original, obviously.
Sorry, emailed and called a handful of people but have come up empty. Some have them, but they aren’t interested in selling. Most are recommending buying them off eBay.
Thanks. I will try BKK next week. The used engine place and the big spare/parts area further up BangNa road.
Tried a few places on web that had 2nd hand but usually got the same answer
Just sold them mate but I've 3 rebuilt ones at xxxxx dollars ie 6 times the price of 2nd hand.
Thanks again.
There are a couple of ways to possibly do it.
First, be an upstanding chap and pay the taxes as some say you should. That would generally be estimated at the CIF price plus say 30% import duties plus any handling fees and then 7% VAT on top of that final price.
Or, you can ask the seller to under declare the value of the goods and pay the tax and duties on the reduced amount. You need to be careful doing this as there are a few potential problems. Most sellers will refuse to do this as it is illegal and it carries some significant penalties if they are found guilty of it. If the goods are lost or damaged you will not get the insurance on the real value of the goods. Also, if the customs agent does not believe that you truly paid the lower amount they will ask to see the original invoice and the corresponding payment that matches. (I have had this happen a few times.)
Or, get a family member or close friend to buy them on your behalf and post them over individually. Small boxes declared at £40 each posted a couple of days apart. Has similar risks as above, may get lost or damaged and won’t be covered adequately by insurance. Also, customs may not believe that you paid such a small price.
As you would imagine, the second two options are illegal and something that I have never done, I have only heard rumours about it. I would always strongly suggest that the first option is the only way to conduct business here in Thailand, after all, through our taxes they need to pay for the much needed submarines, don’t they?

VocalNeil.
Sent you a PM in a parallel universe.
If the tubes are horizontal they are ambient air inlets if vertical some Kiehin CV carbs have an upwards vertical accelerator pump jet.
Go to gallery at the top of the page and click on the little house and upload your .jpg file
On most carbs the vertical tube is the accelerator pump jet. In VocalNeal’s picture above the accelerator pump is the protrusion on the second from the left carb. It connects to the fuel rail and the fuel rail connects to the vertical jets. When the accelerator pump is activated fuel is sprayed horizontally into the carb bore.
What is the issue that you are having? Generally, these carbs are fairly simple to rebuild, the trick is to use an ultrasonic cleaner to clear out all of the passages.
hers's his picture.
