    It's the fashion that's valued/priced -
But they look lame and take more energy to produce. Unless you are driving 100,000 kms a year a traditional car is better value and more power.
    Again, it's a hybrid.

Not sure what looks you're referring to either. I have one and but for the badging and a few other minor cosmetics it looks identical to the standard petrol-powered model.

Same power plant as the Prius yet it goes around corners! Magic.

Fuck me side wides it is pricey. When I left Europe, if you ordered a short with a splash of something, they might charge you 20p or something for that, and water from a jug. Now? gin and tonic? Little bottle of tonic only and it's 2.50 Euro for that. The same price as a pint was when I left in the first place. Soda Water? Forget about it. Want a splash in your rum? 2.50 for a small bottle of it. this is on top of the 5 euro for the shot!
You can walk out and drop 100 quid in about 3 hours without even thinking about it.
You eventually learn that staying in or Wetherspoons are the only two options.
No my way is to ask for a hand written VAT receipt saying FOOD and I claim it all back against my firm.

    Drinking tax money - everyone's a winner.

After the loan is paid off, I believe that have gained a free car.

You drive from Bangkok to Chiang Mai everyday?
Drive around Urban roads very slowly, mostly below the U.K 30 miles per hour speed limit , then in town a lot of red traffic lights , which waste fuel by an idling engine, whereas the Hybrid switches off.
In My old diesel it was mainly 2nd gear driving around urban roads, thanks to Fkn speed bumps, restrictors traffic calming measures.Pot holes etc
I do very little motorway mileage
Slow speeds and stop start driving chew up the juice.
    Horses for courses.
And the traffic is getting worse on a daily level, thanks to the massive housing building projects to house all those Fake Londoners who have overpopulated South England .
Each new home has 2 cars, but the road infrastructure stays the same.
70 pounds a week is a lot. So much for saving money.

No you shifters! Chevy Chase is the only man who is a Griswold Dad. That's it. It doesn't matter that a new generation will not know about him, or be able to associate with a world pre iphones, but that does not matter. DO NOT FUCK WITH CLARK W GRISWOLD you cunts.

That is a lot for a car. Add on rego, servicing, insurance and 000s are being spent.

I spend $30-40 a week and still drive everyday. Not even a hybrid.

3640 pounds a year on mere fuel is a lot unless you are mega rich

When driving through a supermarket car park pedestrians are always walking in the middle of the road, to the shop or returning with a shopping trolley. They are oblivious to an electric driven car near them, so you have to extra vigilant when approaching walkers.

Same as in Thailand. Plenty of times I crawled behind them on my loud-piped Harley and they were just totally oblivious I was there until...................I blipped the throttle.
