Thought not. Did you explain the concept of an alternator to the nice and polite Budget lady?
Before i self imploded i run the lovely lady throu a mechanical course and how an alternator works.

She totally ignored every word I said and defaulted back to me being a cont because we charged the smart phone in the car and fuked the battery.

After the second effort to explain how shit works i thought fuck it, and unloaded my angst.

And the best part about it was that i felt very good after giving her a serve.

At the same time my Hand bag learned how an alternater works and that the lady at the Airport was indeed a fokin retard.

Excuse me Sir, Your hire car is an Eco car, the engine is only 1200 CC so you cannot charge your Tablet or Smart phone in the car because it will flatten the Battery.
did they tell you this when you picked up the car, was there a notice affixed to the windscreen regarding this, is it mentioned in the handbook?

if not, the flat battery and any inconvenience you suffered because of it is their responsibility and you should have argued your point accordingly.

then she would not have fed you her bullshit and you would not have had to lose your temper falang style, because that wont help your cause one little bit.

They are masters at passing the blame. I'm finding this more and more, but they usually rely on bullshit to do it.

Do Thais never lose their temper at other Thais when they are on the receiving end of it? I assume they bend over and get shafted up the anal instead of making a scene by complaining about it.

of course, had terry who has been coming to thailand for over 30 years argued his case in thai, he would have had a very different experience and would have had a new battery sent over and installed within 30 minutes.

but terry, like so many other falangs, send their women in to fight their battles with predictable results and the inevitable and deserved disrespect.

ones woman should only be sent in to bat when dealing with civil servants such as the police or uppity immigration officials.

shopkeepers, receptionists and waitresses, doormen, garage mechanics etc. should always be dealt with personally and in their native tongue with ones woman discreetly overseeing proceedings but never stepping forward unless absolutely necessary.

And even a greater lesson, that everyone [except Ter] would surely understand - don't recharge one's fucking mobile from the vehicle.

    Indeed....
Yet, simple reasoned logic and understanding of the language needn't apply for many cretins - because they're Farang.

had the gent spoken politely and in thai to the doorman he would not have had any problem, but once he sent his wingman in to bat for him it was lbw first ball and heading for an early bath.

a basic command of the language coupled with a calm and polite demeanor can defuse almost any situation to ones advantage, especially when dealing with those lower down the social scale than oneself.

It's funny you say that Tax.

The one thing that drives me foking nuts regard my Handbag is her resistance to ask questions of any Thais or enter into any discussion with Thais regards anything.

When I ask her to ask a question to a Thai her stock answer is to inform me that maybe they will not know the answer so it's not worth asking.

So I say, Darlink you won't know that until you ask the fokin question.

So even now after being with her two and a half years we go over this same scenario every foking time I need to ask an outsider a question.

But she knows that she must ask the question or I may dismember her and hide her body so she asks the question.

Love my Handbag, she's a great girl.

    Hates asking questions though.

Waste of time asking a Thai a question.

If they don't know the answer they'll make one up rather than lose face. Try asking one for directions, they'll point anywhere.

The handbag knows that I reckon

    Well,
I can be quite pervasive when I know I'm correct and someone is attempting to fuk me over with some insane arsed bolliks.

The bint spoke perfect English, she was picking up what I was putting down but her little Brain just could not grasp the concept of what an Alternators job is.

So my Jai Yen Yen fucked off and she was rewarded for her continual retardness and not doing her job correctly by getting me sorted with a new battery.

Infact , If i wanted to take it further I could of registered a complaint with her management but I gained much more satisfaction by tearing her a new arsehole.

Not my style to do this to a woman but fuk it, she certainly asked for it.

She fronted with a free days rental so it's all good.

    Actually it's quite funny.

If I want to wind her up a tad I tell her to go ask that guy over there where I can buy a Sky Hook.

The look of horror that flashes across her face is foking priceless.

    Another lesson learned.
Never ever, under any circumstances, question Thais.

So I was at a bus stop in Bkk one day, waiting for my bus to work. Two female tourists came along then asked a passing Thai what bus would take them to such and such a place (I can't remember exactly where they wanted to go, t'was years ago). The Thai looked confused, looked at the bus numbers on the bus stop sign and blurted out (I used that term in recognition of the thread owner) a random number. Soon, that bus approached and they were ready to get on it, so I kindly walked up to them and said politely that the Thai would have felt embarrassed to say nothing thus gave them any answer that came into his head - that's Thai culture - but the bus actually goes nowhere near where you want to go; you need to take bus 47 which will be along soon... They looked at me, pulled faces, said something to each other under their breath then got on the bus and drove off looking disparagingly at me out of the window...
