Not a car but what is this truck used for?
Two cigars. One each.
Photo taken near Chatuchuk park.
Used for removing, transporting and replanting trees as technically trees can be dug up with an excavator. But not if one wants to replant them.
Can anyone name this car ? I have no idea what it is...whether a custom job or monstrosity...
Plymouth Tornado concept car
Batmobile prototype
seems to be some doubt.
We just got our RM catalog for the upcoming Vintage Motor Cars at Meadow Brook Hall auction on August 4. Lotta good stuff, and then I ran across my arch-nemesis on page 168. The Tornado.
I still swear somebody wrote out Tomato, which got smudged and misinterpreted as Tornado.
You may remember our first run-in, when it sold late last year at a Red Baron auction and caused all sorts of a ruckus in the blogosphere and everybody bought the story that it was some sort of Mopar concept car from the late 1950s.
That was also when I maintained that there’s no way Plymouth had a hand in it. It sat on a Plymouth chassis, that’s all. No proof that Plymouth ever birthed this monster, no customizer’s or designer’s name attached to it. It’s an orphan as well as an eyesore.
And now RM’s selling it. With a $150,000 to $175,000 estimate, no less.
A lot of the Red Baron “history” appears in the RM auction description, along with some history of what’s happened to it since then. A “veteran Hollywood director and collector car enthusiast” bought it last year, but resold it soon after when he realized (duh) it needed a restoration. The new owner had Moses Lunden restore the car and now wants to sell it for triple what the car’s owner in 2004 had it evaluated at.
However, the Red Baron description carefully made no outright statement of (though they alluded the crap out of) the car’s alleged concept car function. RM, on the other hand, plainly describes it as the 1958 Plymouth Tornado Concept Car.
Somebody at some point needs to come clean that this is not and never was a concept car. It’s somebody’s bad idea of a late 1950s custom, that’s all. And if bad ideas now garner six figures, then we’re in some sort of deep doo-doo.
and an interesting article on the car here.

Genuine Plymouth Tornado Concept car or not, here's a close up video of it.
This one is even more weird. I know what it is (and it isn't a one-off, custom or concept car). Can you guess ?
it has an eastern european look about it, 1930-ish, and there looks to be a tatra next to it, so at a guess i would say its from the czech republic.
Excellent deductions !
Wikov Type 35 Kapka
