Great motor you've got here Earl. I keep toying with the idea of getting something similar for rattling around Isaan in but as were not going to be living here permanently yet it would just sit around for 11 months of the year then, being a Land Rover, won't work for at least three of the four weeks that we come here on holiday, then end up costing me a small fortune in parts...

I've owned several Land Rovers before. Each time I've got rid of one I vow to never ever buy another again but as the saying goes, absence makes the heart grow fond and after a while common sense therefore takes a back seat (a fairly uncomfortable place in a Series LR).

I've been three years now on the (Japanese) wagon. Not sure how much longer I can hold out...

BTW - in the photo it looks like your spare wheel might come in handy, has your front passenger side one fallen off somewhere?

Is it a Honda? I know it's not an S800, but something of that ilk?

It's got 3.1 turbo diesel from a Isuzu Trooper, power steering from a Pajero, and axles with electric lockers from a Landcruiser Prado.
It got reborn as a pickup a couple years ago.

Earl, please stop posting pics of your LR. I'm desperately trying not to want one...

BTW - I like it even more as a pickup, is that it's current guise?

Knowledge. Any petrolhead worth his salt should be able to identify that one, although there are few identifying features shown in that photo other than the sillhouette.

I would only use tineye to satisfy my own curiosity, otherwise its just not cricket!!

Yep, The only mass-produced civilian vehicle from another manufacturer ever to use a Rolls-Royce engine. My father had one, bought it used from a friend.

They were going to build a Austin Healey 4000 using the same engine but...

Chassamui, Still no salt but close.
