Does anyone know where I can get a proper side car for my bike. I have a new Honda Forza and I want a sidecar for my missus to sit in. Not a side cart used on a sling but a proper covered in model.

Where are you? In Udon there is a place near airport that does "proper" sidecars, not the saloongs or however someone wants to translitterate the thai word for a flimsy cage on wheels.

Just to clarify a couple errors in the thread. This rig passed inspection and was certified as a road-legal 3-wheel motorcycle. (Of course very few Thai coppers know that and I had to educate a bunch of them in my area and ended up attaching a copy of the certification to the back of the sidecar's seat for easy reference).
It was fine for cruising around the neighborhood and running my son to and from his nearby pre-school, but I'd never recommend such a rig for any kind of long distance travel.
If handles completely differently from a motorcycle and above ~60-70 kph it was pretty skittish and dangerous IMO.

Let us know how that goes! You know already that you'll need to have the rig inspected and approved by your Land Transport Dept in order for it to be road legal, though of course hoards of locals with their home made sidecars never bother doing that.
It seems that at the minimum a sidecar in Thailand needs adequate lighting front and rear and a functioning brake on the 3rd wheel to pass inspection. Beyond that I'm not sure what else they might be looking for.

Just a note if not already here. It is nay impossible to get an existing registered bike changed from two-wheeler to three. You have to buy new and register it as three wheeler or equipped with a side car like the Tiger one.
That being said i do know a guy in Chiang Mai with a maxi scooter and sidecar but he has very weak legs so maybe registered as a disabled person vehicle? Or maybe he doesn't care and rides anyway.
