The "Demographic problem" for Israel - it's called the "demographic problem" by Israelis - has been discussed and extensively studied for years. It's about numbers. Demographics. Population and population growth.

While I don't personally see the problem with a one state democracy, obviously the Israeli's do- Israel, they say, is a Jewish state. If so, they need to make peace with their neighbours, and we all know how that will happen- by the ending of the occupation and the formation of a Palestinian state. The offer is on the table. We do not need to go back too far in history to then have some optimism for a sustainable Israeli state- actually, the Jewish populations in the Muslim countries fared better than they did in Europe and Russia. The current bitter enmity is not a long term historic thing, it is a function of the formation of the state of Israel, and subsequent conflicts. Israel would continue to have support from the West also, which is no small thing- although I doubt the current largesse shown to them is sustainable, or even warranted. One state or two state solution, the current situation is not sustainable. Even Menachin Begin and Ariel Sharon realised this in the end, as did the previous PM of Israel- so I view the current governments attitude as a threat to their own national survival.

They're working on the problem. "Avigdor Lieberman of Yisrael Beiteinu, the fourth largest faction in the 17th Knesset, is one of the foremost advocates of the transfer of large Arab towns located just inside Israel near the border with the West Bank (e.g. Tayibe, Umm al-Fahm, Baqa al-Gharbiyye), to the jurisdiction of the Palestinian National Authority in exchange for Israeli settlements located inside the West Bank.[80][81][82][83][84][85][86][87] As the London Times notes: "Lieberman plans to strengthen Israel’s status as a Jewish state by transferring 500,000 of its minority Arab population to the West Bank, by the simple expedient of redrawing the West Bank to include several Arab Israeli towns in northern Israel. Another 500,000 would be stripped of their right to vote if they failed to pledge loyalty to Zionism."[88]" Arab citizens of Israel - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

Or, alternatively, they can return to their 'real homelands' throughout the respective European countries. As 90% of Israeli ancestry is European, less native Semitic.

The British (and French) mandates over the area around 1920 is more of importance than WW2. | |

but we only made it officially after WW2, before that it was mostly chaotic settlements and little battles with the locals, once it was recognized as a country, and that was the UN, founded quickly after 1945, it was the beginning of the end
